THE AUGUST TRAILER SIGNAL
Three late-summer announcements brought different formats to the screen: a new Cyberpunk: Edgerunners story, the Fool Night manga adaptation, and a LEGO special retelling Netflix’s live-action ONE PIECE. Here are the confirmed details and official trailers.
CYBERPUNK: EDGERUNNERS 2
Crunchyroll reported an October 20 premiere date for the standalone, ten-episode story at Studio TRIGGER, directed by Kai Ikarashi. The trailer also previewed “A Rusty Dream,” written and performed by DOUDOU. These details come from the August 20 report and official trailer.
FOOL NIGHT
Crunchyroll reported that all episodes of Kasumi Yasuda’s manga adaptation will stream exclusively on Netflix from November 26, 2026. The series is a Sunrise and SHAFT collaboration. The August report names Koki Uchiyama and Minako Kotobuki in the lead Japanese cast, plus Junya Enoki, Aya Endo and Kiyomitsu Mizuuchi.
LEGO ONE PIECE
Netflix’s two-part LEGO special retells events from Seasons 1 and 2 of its live-action ONE PIECE series. Netflix says each episode is 30 minutes; the special arrived September 29. The live-action Straw Hat cast voices the characters. This is a playful companion retelling, not an adaptation of the anime series.
WHAT THESE RELEASES SHARE
All three show familiar worlds being revisited in different formats. The verified facts above come from the cited reporting and official trailers; commentary about their creative appeal is editorial perspective, not a claim about audience response.
