A SKILL THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING
Fate Graphite begins at the bottom of a society where magical Skills shape a person’s standing. His Gluttony ability appears to be a curse—until its real, frightening potential emerges. That clean premise gives the season a strong forward pull: each new step in Fate’s growth also raises the question of what that power asks of him.
POWER, CONSEQUENCE, AND PACE
The most engaging moments keep the power fantasy connected to its costs and to Fate’s relationships, especially his bond with Roxy. The action-forward structure makes the story easy to follow, while its appetite for escalating abilities can sometimes outpace quieter character work. It is a compact, straightforward dark-fantasy adventure rather than a slow-burn character study.
FINAL VERDICT
Season 1 is a brisk fit for viewers who enjoy a morally uneasy hero, an evolving supernatural ability, and medieval fantasy battles. Its central hook is memorable; the season is strongest when it lets the consequences matter as much as the next power-up.
