QUICK TAKE
Dan Da Dan turns a disagreement about aliens and ghosts into a series where both are real—and the result is gloriously unpredictable. Momo and Okarun’s chemistry anchors the rapid shifts between horror, comedy, and action. The energy is a major strength; its graphic and suggestive material is equally important to flag before recommending it.

ALIENS, GHOSTS, AND A VERY BAD BET
High-school classmates Momo and Okarun disagree about whether ghosts or aliens exist. Their arguments lead them into encounters that prove both are real, leaving them with supernatural abilities and new threats. This review covers the TV anime through Seasons 1 and 2, not future installments.
CHAOS WITH A CENTRAL PAIR
The show’s speed could easily scatter its ideas, but the Momo–Okarun relationship gives the wild episodes an emotional anchor. Horror imagery, absurd comedy, and flashy fights can all arrive in the same scene; that tonal collision is deliberate and often entertaining. It can also be overwhelming, and the series’ sexualized jokes and violence are not background details.
VERDICT
Dan Da Dan is an inventive, high-energy supernatural comedy whose best asset is the push-and-pull between its leads. Recommend it to viewers open to tonal whiplash and mature content. The review covers the first two TV seasons available to date.
Crunchyroll marks it as not recommended for minors under 16 and lists violence, sexual violence, suggestive dialogue, and smoking. Netflix’s U.S. listing separately displays TV-MA.
