A MYSTERY BUILT INTO THE CLIMB
Bam enters the Tower in search of Rachel, and the first season quickly makes the climb feel like more than a test of strength. Each stage introduces unfamiliar rules, new companions, and reasons to question what the Tower rewards. The result is a fantasy adventure that invites curiosity without requiring viewers to know the original webtoon.
ALLIANCES UNDER PRESSURE
The ensemble and testing format give the season its rhythm: clever choices matter, and relationships change as the group faces each challenge. Its layered world and restrained explanations create a compelling sense of scale. At times, the compressed 13-episode pace can make the world feel as if it is still opening just as this season reaches its endpoint.
FINAL VERDICT
Season 1 is a strong entry point for viewers who like strategic trials, unusual fantasy world-building, and character dynamics that carry more than one reading. It is an opening chapter, not a complete account of the anime’s later seasons.
